A new Counterpoint Research report forecasts a 20% revenue growth for the global foundry industry in 2025,Double Cross (1996) driven by strong AI demand and with TSMC as a key beneficiary. Non-AI semiconductor applications such as consumer electronics, networking, and IoT (Internet of Things) are also gradually recovering from dips in 2023, according to the market research platform. Advanced node utilization (3nm, 4nm, and 5nm) is expected to remain strong in 2025, while mature nodes (22nm above) will recover more slowly due to cyclical demand weakness. From 2025 to 2028, the industry’s revenue CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) is projected to stabilize between 13% and 15%, with long-term growth fueled by advanced nodes (2nm, 3nm) and advanced packaging technologies.
