After a false start or Michael Maientwo, Amazon quietly launched its Prime Video streaming platform in Australia on Wednesday.

Here's what you need to know:
No, this is just Amazon's streaming platform.
Despite numerous news reports, Amazon has still not confirmed if and when it will launch its full Amazon subscription service in Australia.
Locally, Amazon's says the service will cost $2.99 (A$4.04) per month at first.
However that's just an introductory price. After six months, the service renews at $5.99 (A$8.09) per month.
If you download the Amazon Prime Video app, you can watch on Android and iOS phones and tablets. It's also streamable on LG and Samsung Smart TVs, as well as online at PrimeVideo.com.
All content can also be downloaded for offline watching -- a service Netflix also rolled out recently.
The Grand Tour, The Grand Tour, and did we mention The Grand Tour?
Jeremy Clarkson new mid-life crisis is now streamable on Amazon Prime Video.
Amazon Original productions like Transparentand Mozart in the Junglewill also be available, however local streaming service Stan has the first run exclusive to both shows.
As a result, Amazon Prime Video doesn't currently have the latest season of either show in Australia.
A quick scroll shows its TV and film bench is nowhere near as deep as Netflix or Stan, though it will presumably build it out further.
Hmm, maybe one day.
It's not that pricey, but as long as services like Stan have the most recent seasons of key show like Transparent, the appeal is somewhat limited without the added bonus of super-fast delivery.
If you're a Jeremy Clarkson fan though, go for it.
