Black Widowis going to be early teen sex videolate to the party (again), but it's new and presumably final-for-real release is going to be much more pandemic-friendly now.
The next installment on the movie side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now set for release on July 9, a two-month delay from its previous May 7 premiere. But the shift also brings the exciting development that Black Widowwill arrive simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ via Premier Access.
That means you'll be able to watch it at home with a Disney+ subscription, provided you pay an additional (one-time) $30 fee. Disney introduced the Premier Access option with the 2020 release of its live-action Mulanand then offered it again for Raya the Last Dragon, which released in theaters and on Disney+ on March 5.
In the announcement, Disney credits Raya's success as a premium streaming release for the Black Widow move. It's also not the only Premier Access release coming up, as Disney also confirmed that the 101 Dalmationsprequel Cruellawill now hit both theaters and Disney+May 28.
There's more Marvel news to go with the Black Widowrevelation. Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringswill premiere on Sept. 3, marking Marvel Studios' first September release. With Eternalsalso set for release on Nov. 5, MCU fans can now look forward to getting three new movies in the space of five months. (Or four movies in six months if you count Spider-Man: No Way Home, which is supposed to be out on Dec. 17.)
