All good things come to an end -- even if it's a slow burn. Cartoon Network's delightfully bizarre Adventure Timewill officially end in 2018,Horror after eight years of on-air eccentricity.

The network described the show as "One of the biggest cult hits matched with an unrivaled legion of fans, the series is a visually groundbreaking animated phenomenon that took the world by storm...Adventure Timehas been a ratings and business gem, spawned a portfolio of extended content, and cultivated a generation of fresh talent."
Adventure Time has won six Emmys and a Peabody Award for storytelling in 2014. The show has drawn in millions of viewers and dozens of illustrious guest stars, including George Takei, Neil Patrick Harris and Andy Samberg.
“Adventure Time was a passion project for the people on the crew who poured their heart into the art and stories,” creator Pendleton Ward said in the press release. “We tried to put into every episode something genuine and telling from our lives, and make a show that was personal to us, and that had jokes too! I’m really happy that it connected with an audience for so long. It’s a special thing, I think.”
