The Rapsa (2025)iPhone 8 leaks just keep coming.
A new pair of short videos hidden inside of the iOS 11 beta were recently found by iOS developer Guilherme Rambo, who has become known for digging through the leaked HomePod firmware for details about upcoming features.

On current versions of the phone, you bring up the Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the display. But in one of the discovered videos, Control Center is activated by swiping in from the right.

This apparently works only from the lock screen. It's a little weird at first glance, and frankly, it's not clear if this was just a prototype idea. Currently, swiping right from the lock screen opens up the camera app. What would happen to the camera shortcut?
Sure, there's a camera app shortcut in Control Center, but that would mean getting to the camera app would be three steps instead of two: click to turn on the lock screen, swipe open Control Center, then tap camera app.
The other video found by the developer shows a new way to activate the app switcher. There are two ways you can open up the app switcher on current versions of the iPhone: double tap the home button or 3D Touch on the left side of the screen. On soon-to-be-released iOS 11, Apple has apparently removed the 3D Touch feature.
But since Apple is expected to remove the home button, the new way to activate the app switcher could be with a swipe up gesture.

What's even more interesting from these two videos is that there's no home button on what clearly isn't an iPhone 8 (there's no "notch" or edge-to-edge display). Apple's expected to announce updated versions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with new glass backs, but will it also remove the home button on these models as well? It certainly would make iOS 11 consistent across all iPhones.
That said, it's important to keep yourself in check. Just because these videos were buried within the iOS 11 beta doesn't mean they're features that will actually ship. For example, a one-handed keyboard was discovered in iOS last year, but it never showed up in any public releases.
Regardless, we're finally in the home stretch of the iPhone 8 launch. Apple's widely expected to announce the new edge-to-edge device next month. So hold your current phone tight and enjoy it's last days because once the iPhone 8 comes out, we're all gonna want it.
