"The Sundance Film Festival has been subject to a cyberattack, causing network outages that shut down our box offices. No further information about the attack is available at this time. All screenings will still take place as planned."
It wasn't immediately clear who carried out the attack or whether the festival was specifically targeted.
The largest film festival in the U.S. kicked off Thursday night with Al Gore's "urgent, exhilarating" An Inconvenient Sequel, and runs through the end of next week.
