Yep, you'll have to kiss your dreams of recording and aerial video of Lady Gaga's halftime show goodbye because when the Patriots and Falcons go head to head this Sunday in Super Bowl LI, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) doesn't want your nosy, potentially dangerous drones anywhere near the game.
SEE ALSO: Get ready for the Super Bowl by watching footballs overinflated in slow motionThe FAA released a public service announcement on Wednesday declaring that not only is NRG Stadium a "No Drone Zone" on the day of the big game, but temporary flight restrictions prohibiting drones from flying within a 34.5-mile radius of the stadium will also be put in place.
The FAA even produced a charming 20-second video encouraging fans to "bring their lucky jerseys, face paint and team spirit" to the game — but leave those drones at home.
"Drones are becoming much more popular, but they also pose certain safety risks," FAA Administrator Michael Huerta said. "We’re working closely with our safety and security partners to spread the No Drone Zone message as widely as possible."
This isn't the first year the FAA has banned drones from the Super Bowl, and drone restrictions were also put in place during Trump's inauguration.The Super Bowl drone restrictions will be in effect from 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5.
