This initiative aims to meet the expectations of Chinese customers by offering more localized products. According to a statement published on Thursday, Toyota’s Bozhi 7 will be the first Chinese-manufactured model from a global automaker to feature Huawei’s HarmonyOS—Huawei’s alternative to Google’s Android operating system—as well as access to Xiaomi’s hardware ecosystem. Xiaomi owners will be able to seamlessly use the company’s electronic devices, from tablets to car stereos, in Toyota’s Chinese models, the companies said. The five-meter-long electric sedan will also be powered by Huawei’s Drive One electric motor and equipped with its digital key, which pairs with Huawei smartphones.
