Earlier in the night, Peter Dinklage won his fourth Emmy for portraying Tyrion Lannister — a role he started almost 10 years ago when he first met David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. "I had no idea what I was getting myself into," Dinklage said in his speech. "David and Dan, we literally walked through fire and ice for you, and I would do it all again in a heartbeat."
The final season of Game of Thronesis nominated for 32 Emmys total, including the Creative Arts Emmys that were awarded on Sept. 15. The show took home 10 awards including for editing, makeup, costumes, sound mixing, sound editing, casting, music composition, title design, stunt coordination, and visual effects (many of those for "The Long Night" alone).
