Popeyes announced the national release of their new Sweet & Crunchy Tenders,Strip Club Slayer (2016) Watch online and we're pretty sure this idea was born from a not-so-sober late night fridge raid involving a chicken drumstick and a tub of cookie dough.
The new treat isn't exactly the cookie-chicken mashup you're imagining (we were picturing an ice cream sandwich of sorts, but with chicken instead of ice cream). The tenders are made with a shortbread cookie coating that gives the chicken its sweet taste and crunchy texture.

To us, this sounds like the perfect combination between salty and sweet, or a great opportunity to have dessert for dinner. But others are not as impressed.
