Not only did some slam her video for resembling Beyoncé's "Formation," others felt her symbolism-heavy video was too calculated and disingenuous.

Now "Look What You Made Me Do" director and Taylor's longtime collaborator, Joseph Kahn, is defending Taylor against the music industry's "double standards."

Kahn has already had to speak out against the Beyoncé copy-cat rumors, and he does have a point here. Taylor once received death threats for simply calling out her ex-boyfriend in a song, and she's currently receiving plenty of hate online after releasing her video.
