The Halinghingrumors were true: Samsung has launched a glossy black variant of its Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone.
To get the color, you'll have to buy the 128GB version of the device (so, exactly the same as Apple's Jet Black iPhone 7), which will become available "in select markets" on Dec. 9.

Also, it appears that the regular Galaxy S7 is not getting the Black Pearl treatment.
With the new Black Pearl colorway, the Galaxy S7 Edge can now be had in a total of seven options. The other six are Blue Coral, Pink Gold, White Pearl, Black Onyx, Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium; not all of them, however, will be available at every vendor.
After the Note7 fiasco, the Black Pearl Galaxy S7 Edge is Samsung's bridge to next year's Galaxy S8, which has already been announced and is likely coming in late February.
