Here's what went down.
A Twitter user named Jiraiya tweeted pictures of pairs of cartoon and anime characters. In his opinion, all the male characters were being friend zoned.
Jiraiya probably didn't expect David Slack -- the writer who created the Teen Titans characters, Beast Boy and Terra -- to comment on this tweet.
Slack was none too pleased with Jiraiya's interpretation of the characters' friendship and schooled him on the basics of autonomy and genuine friendship.
