On Tuesday,Swipe (2017) Elon Musk tried to message the Chief Technology Officer of Oculus (the Facebook-owned virtual reality company) his phone number, but instead tweeted it to the world.
Musk has since deleted the tweet, but not before some reporters at CNBC spotted the twitter mishap and then called the number.

The message begins:
"By the Gods you've done it. Somehow you've found your way here to me. I offer you my congratulations and my respect."
It's well known that Musk is a massive sci-fi fanatic -- he's named the two SpaceX marine landing drones after fictional spaceships -- but less is known about either his interest in video games or virtual reality. So, it remains unclear why Musk wanted to speak on the phone with Oculus CTO John Carmack.
It's certainly difficult to know what the futurist has up his sleeve. Perhaps he wants to use VR to prepare his Mars-bound passengers for the trip aboard the SpaceX BFR rocket -- or give them something to do during their months-long journey to the red desert planet.
