This is not the first time we heard about a new iPad mini being in the works. In July, reports said that Apple is planning to launch a new iPad mini in 2024, and there were clues that the device would come with Apple's A17 chip. This should make the iPad mini capable of running Apple Intelligence, and Gurman said he "wouldn't be surprised to see it updated for AI."
