In 2024,France smartphone shipments in mainland China reached 285 million units, a year-on-year growth of 4%, according to market analyst firm Canalys. Vivo led the annual market with a 17% share and shipments of 49.3 million units, while Huawei ranked second with a 16% share and 46 million units shipped. Apple, Oppo, and Honor secured the third, fourth, and fifth spots, respectively. “Looking ahead to 2025, Canalys predicts smartphone shipments in China will exceed 290 million units,” commented Lucas Zhong, a research analyst at Canalys. In January, the Chinese government announced a nationwide smartphone subsidy policy, prompting manufacturers to prepare their channels and supply chains for this year’s market growth, Zhang added.
